Bunnings Online Brand Manual

Bunnings has over two hundred stores across Australia and New Zealand, and works with thousands of product suppliers and hundreds of service providers. As any brand manager will tell you, keeping the brand consistent across such a large enterprise is not easy. Yet to make the task a little easier I prepared a web-based brand manual. This application provided the brand manager with a single repository of over 150 logos, designs, signage, documents, and more.

So that this manual could be provided to store managers, advertising agencies, production companies and others, the application was driven entirely by JavaScript. This allowed the manual to be sent out on a single CD.

I am pleased to say that the Bunnings brand manager once told me that he used the application almost every day, and it indeed helped him to ensure that Bunnings’ brand elements were always used according to specification.
