Ark of Common Web Site

The “Ark of Common” was a programme proposed to the Rotary club, one aspect of which was this draft web site. It may only be a little web site, but I feel that it is a beautiful little web site.

I was never keen on having a Flash introduction and lost the argument to omit it, but I hope that the result achieves an understated elegance. Once beyond the introduction, I enjoy the site’s little touches such as continually using different parts of the same photograph, and having those parts line up with the navigation links. I feel that the linear progression through the site was just right for the purpose of “telling the story” of the Ark of Common programme.
